Fishing Reports

11-24-14

Slow off the surf yesterday is what we heard but the back bay is a different story with bass behind IBSP and on the opposite side "Around" the Oyster Creek and Ceder Creek area with small swimmers and poppers before dark. We have Fresh Clams, Live Eels and Green Crabs for those targeting Tog. We also have Bloodworms if you want to give Winter Flounder a shot in the Toms River.

Pretty slow off the local beaches again yesterday is what we were hearing. Fresh Clams came in yesterday afternoon but still no fresh bunker.

Plenty of short bass behind IBSP, Ceder Creek and Oyster Creek last night before dark on small swimmers, poppers and swim shads was the word.

The night bite continues off of IBSP and the local beaches with SP Minnows (Blurple), Black Bombers and Mambo Minnows getting the job done. Don't forget that teaser rig and bunker snag if your heading out today.

Just got word that we will have Fresh Clams this afternoon and hopefully some Fresh Bunker as well. As of right now we have plenty of salted clams and vacuum packed bunker. We also have live Eels and Green Crabs for those of you targeting Tog.

Due to the winds this week the clam boats have not been able to get out. Hopefully we will have Fresh Clams and Bunker Saturday. We have plenty of salted clams and frozen vacuum packed bunker for those of you who want to throw bait. Swimmers such as SP Minnows, Mambo Minnows, Baker Lures and Bombers will all work. Slim metals such as Jetty Ghost, AOK's, Deadly Dicks and Run Off Lures with a teaser rig might put you on fish. Don't forget the Choopy needlefish and swimmer to add to your plug bag. All these products are in stock at both shops with both day and night colors so stop in and pick up what you need.

Hank Prior had a nice 30 inch bass on a Mambo Minnow in the dark late Wednesday night.

11-20-14

Pretty quiet again yesterday with not many fisherman out there. Today should be a little better weather wise and with the sandeels starting to show it could be a good day to throw some Choopy Needlefish, Jetty Ghosts, AOK's and SP Minnows. It shouldn't be hard to move around and fish different holes and cuts as the beach should be pretty empty.

Those fishing the back bay behind IBSP and the Ceder Creek area are still picking up some short bass on small swimmers and poppers before dark.
