Fishing Reports

4-1-15

Didn't hear much from yesterday so hopefully those of you who were out got into some fish. We have Sands and Bloods in stock as well as Killies, Shiners, Garden Worms and Night Crawlers.

Pretty quiet yesterday as we didn't hear much from those who were out. We have more Blood Worms and Sand Worms coming in this morning so if your heading out stop in and pick up what you need.

We have a new leader in our Winter Flounder contest with our first fish over 2 pounds. Jared Goldy picked up 2 more flounder yesterday morning using blood worms at Oyster Creek with one at 17 1/2 inches and weighing 2.19 lbs. He also had a few short bass up to 20 inches. Jeremy Rell also picked up 2 flounder from the creek up to 15 inches.The Murphy crew was out again last night picking up numerous short bass on blood worms in the Toms River. Dana picked up her first spring bass.

Jared Goldy picked up 7 bass up to 24 inches yesterday at Oyster Creek on blood worms. He also caught 2 winter flounder around 14 1/2 inches. Hank Prior picked up a short bass in Island Heights yesterday morning and the Murphy Crew was out again yesterday and into the night in the Toms River picking up bass up to 23 inches on blood worms. Another one of our customers was picking up shorts in the river on a yellow Mambo Minnow. We are also starting to hear about some short bass being picked up at the Mathis Bridge on swim shads. We have Fresh Clams and Blood Worms in stock as well as an assortment of other fresh baits along with chum and chum pots so stop in and pick up what you need if your heading out today.

Addition:

The Murphy crew was out in Island Heights yesterday afternoon and picked up a trifecta. Short bass. white perch and a winter flounder.
