Fishing Reports

8-29-14

Fluke off IBSP with a bucktail tipped with Gulp is what's happening and small Blues hitting metal and mullet during the day. Brown sharks at night are hitting Fresh Bunker as well as some larger Blues. We have Fresh Clams, Fresh Bunker and Fresh Spearing in the shop for the weekend.

Crabbing and snapper fishing was very good yesterday again and should continue through the Holiday weekend.

Reports of some larger Blues around yesterday on IBSP. Strong rip currents on the local beaches again today so be careful out there. We have Fresh Clams and plenty of killies with Fresh Spearing coming in this afternoon.

Crabbing and snapper fishing remains the same in the river. "Very Good"

Small Blues from the surf yesterday hitting metal on IBSP. If your heading out be advised of the rip currents off the local beaches again today. We will have Fresh Clams this morning and we have plenty of killies as well as an assortment of frozen baits for your fishing and crabbing needs in both shops.

Snapper fishing was very good again yesterday in the river and they are getting a little bigger.

If your heading out to the local beaches today be careful of the rip currents. Small blues in the surf yesterday were taken on metal but there was a lot of grass in the water according to a couple customers. New shirts are in Go Fish and we should have them in Murphy's hopefully in a couple days.

Crabbing and snapper fishing in the river and bay was very good again yesterday. Picked up a few cocktail sized blues last night in the Cedar Creek area before dark on a small popper.

Rough surf yesterday with 8 ounces not holding bottom and tough for the Fluke guys to get out front. The bay and river was the place to be yesterday. Plenty of snappers around and the crabbing in the river on "both" sides was very good yesterday.
